While the Village Motel is just a 5 minute drive to Acadia National Park, consider taking the Island Explorer bus instead, which will pick you up at the Village Green just one block away from the motel. There are ten different routes covering the park and downtown, and best of all, it’s free!

National Park Passes

Before you can start exploring, you’ll need to buy a park pass. The most common park passes can be purchased online and printed out before your visit. You can also buy a pass on arrival to the park, but it’s a good idea to check the map ahead of time, as not all passes are available at every park entrance. There are also some special passes for kids, seniors, active military members and veterans, and visitors with disabilities. Credit cards are accepted and preferred at all fee locations.
