Fourth of July Celebration

Bar Harbor’s Fourth of July has been voted the #1 Fourth of July celebration in America by the Today Show, and recognized by National Geographic as one of the top ten in the U.S.

Schedule of Events (subject to change)
Pancake Breakfast
6am-10am
Blueberry or plain pancakes, sausage, juice, milk, and coffee. All proceeds from the event support local nonprofits. Bar Harbor Athletic Field, Park Street.

Independence Day Parade
10am
The community shows off its patriotism and good humor. Parade route winds through downtown Bar Harbor from Main Street to Cottage Street to Eden Street to Mt. Desert Street to Ledgelawn Avenue. Produced by the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

Seafood Festival
11am – 2pm
Enjoy lobster, mussels, corn, lobster rolls, hot dogs, hamburgers, and more at the area’s largest seafood festival! All proceeds from the event support local nonprofits. Bar Harbor Athletic Field, Park Street.

Fireworks Over Frenchman Bay
9:15pm (approx.)
Enjoy the spectacular display on the waterfront, downtown Bar Harbor. Sponsored by Ocean Properties and produced by the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

Bar Harbor Bed Races

The Seaside Cinema Outdoor Movie Series is a partnership between the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce and Reel Pizza.
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, blankets, bug spray and snacks! Popcorn is provided!
